President of RSN is the worst thing they could do. Guaranteed that the winner will (a) not deserve it and (b) already be able to afford the so-called perks.
It's just a way to add money to the Sox' pockets. That's all they care about.

The fact that the owners charge 14.95, or more, for a ****ing card that says 'Red Sox Nation' is ridiculous. I am starting to get irritated with this ownership. Electing a president is a bad idea.
We should vote for Simmons because I want him to have to write the blog, and have his time taken up by this.

Simmons pulled out of the contest when he found out that people had to pay $15 to vote.

"Do you have a friend who you believe could step up to the role of president of Red Sox Nation? All Nation citizens are eligible, so purchase a membership for them and ask them to run! Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. ET on Aug. 17"
thats from the red sox official website. they are definitely after money if they want someone to sign up and run... shouldnt nominees have been members for a period of time prior to running for president?
dont know, but i definitely will never be joining the "rsn" now.

I know it's been said, but paying $15 a year (or more) for card that says your a fan of a team is ri-****ing-diculous.

Anyone in the world (with an internet connection) can vote for free at redsox.com, the money is needed if you want to nominate someone who hasn't already been nominated.

As much as I am against this president thing, vote for Peter Gammons. He said he'd get Pearl Jam to play at Fenway.
